BELGIA – A householder products company, Ecover has changed DNA alga as the natural substitution for palm oil kernel in its products.
The Belgium company has its oil from Solazyme, a bioproduct company which utilizes the heterotrophic microalga technology to converse the sugar to be oil.
The technology, as quoted from Cosmetics Design, Tuesday, (3/6/2014) uses other technics to change the genetic codes, which cover artificial gene synthetis – the DNA is made in the computer and put it into the organism, and the other method to change the numbers of DNA and gene in the organism to change the functions.
