InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia's crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was withdrawn on Monday (October 26, 2026), with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,018 per kilogram. The bid was Rp182/kg, or 1.20%, lower than the highest offer of Rp15,200/kg recorded on Friday (October 23, 2026).
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO tender opened at Rp15,100/kg before being withdrawn at the highest bid of Rp15,018/kg. Meanwhile, CPO prices were set at Rp14,850/kg for FOB Talang Duku and Rp14,900/kg for Franco Teluk Bayur.
The withdrawal came as Malaysian palm oil futures fell below RM4,800 per tonne, reversing recent gains amid weakness in palm oil prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and soybean oil prices in Chicago.
According to Trading Economics, lower global crude oil prices also weighed on the market by reducing palm oil's relative attractiveness as a biodiesel feedstock. Softer food-sector demand amid persistent inflationary pressures further dampened market sentiment.
However, strong export performance helped limit the downside. Cargo surveyors reported that Malaysian palm oil shipments during October 1–20, 2026, increased by 58.5%–78.4% compared with the same period in September.
Demand ahead of India's festival season, supported by the country's position as the world's largest palm oil importer, also provided market support.
For November 2026, the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) expects palm oil prices to remain above RM4,600 per tonne. Potential demand growth from India and China, alongside tighter supplies of sunflower oil and soybean oil, could encourage buyers to increase palm oil purchases.
In the longer term, Indonesia's mandatory B50 biodiesel programme is expected to support palm oil demand by increasing domestic consumption.
