US$ 1 Billion fromNorway is not Enough




JAKARTA –  All countries wholeover the world have agreed to improve the environment quality to minimize the effects of global warming. One of the agreements is by implementing the green economy.

In Indonesia, to reduce the global warming will be done by reducing the contributions of green house effect through REDD+, such as, urge the implementation of natural resources wisely and without damaging the environments. “We want fair and sustainable development,” Head of REDD+, Heru Prasetyo recently said to InfoSAWIT in Jakarta.

To reduce the contribution of green house effect emission, the government of Norway help Indonesia by granting Rp 11,49 billions rupiah or equal to US$ 1 billion. But Heru thought, the grant is not enough to fulfill all activities in reducing green house effect emission in Indonesia. “The fund is not enough,” he ended his words. q T3
