KPBN CPO Tender Withdrawn as Malaysian Palm Oil Prices Seen Above RM4,600 in November

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was withdrawn on Thursday (October 22, 2026), with the highest bid reaching Rp15,118 per kilogram, up Rp3/kg, or 0.02%, from Rp15,115/kg a day earlier.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the Franco Dumai CPO tender opened at Rp15,130/kg before being withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,118/kg from CTI. The FOB Talang Duku tender also ended in withdrawal, with a highest bid of Rp14,749/kg against an opening price of Rp14,880/kg from WNI.

Meanwhile, CPO at Loco PKS Parindu was set at Rp14,740/kg, Loco PKS Ngabang at Rp14,755/kg, and Loco PKS Kembayan at Rp14,630/kg. All prices exclude value-added tax.

Malaysian CPO Prices Expected to Remain Firm

In Malaysia, CPO prices are expected to remain above RM4,600 per tonne in November 2026, supported by seasonal production declines, resilient biodiesel demand and tightening supplies of competing vegetable oils.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) said India’s reduction in import duties on vegetable oils could help revive palm oil demand in the coming months. Meanwhile, limited supplies of sunflower oil and soybean oil are expected to strengthen palm oil’s competitiveness in global markets.

However, the outlook remains subject to downside risks. Weaker energy prices, lower-than-expected food-sector consumption of vegetable oils, persistent inflation and uncertainty surrounding the global economy could limit further price gains.

With seasonal production declines expected to tighten supply, market participants will continue to monitor demand trends, energy prices and competing vegetable oil availability. (T2)
