BALI - The researches about High Carbon Stock (HSC) Forest Identification and Mappinghave been in the further phases. The concepts could be one standard to plantation businessmen before developing the area. If the area has its licence and based on the HCS Forest, but the area is categorized in high corbon region, the businessmen could re-give the licence to the government or they can ask for the change in different location. “When there is HCS Forest, the area should be given back to the government. Or it can be changed or substituted by the other region so it will not be harmful for the businessmen, Managing Director of Communication and Sustainability Golden Agri – Resources, Peter Heng recently said to InfoSAWIT. Meanwhile, Grant Rosoman of The Forest Trust (TFT) said, the area mapping based on the HCS Forest should be done in participation for all sides should support the process.
