JAKARTA – To boost its commodity business, PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. has prepared its modal for about Rp 1 billion. This number is not different from it was in 2013. “The modal of the company could be Rp 1 billion,” Head of Investor Relation, PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. Michael Kusuma recently said to InfoSAWIT. 80% of the total modal will be used to expand the palm oil plantation, such as, to develop the planted area for about 5 to 10 thousands hectares. The rest of the modal will be used to develop sagu about 1000 to 2000 hectares, the expansion of rubber plantation about 2000 to 3000 hectares. “The total expansion and development of the three kinds of plantations will be 8000 hectares. But it could be 15.000 hectares,” Michael mentioned. According to the company, in the beginning of 2014, the CPO production of PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk was not so good for it was lower than it in the same period in last year. “This January will be lower than it in January 2013,” he ended his words.  T3
