InfoSAWIT, LAMPUNG – Students from Lampung University (Unila) have once again achieved a proud accomplishment. A team of Electrical Engineering students from the 2023 cohort was selected to receive research funding from the Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) for 2025. Out of more than 1,300 proposals, only 40 teams were selected, including the Unila team for their innovative research titled "TELSA Super App: An ERP Platform to Support ISPO Implementation for Smallholder Palm Oil Plantations."

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), through the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), has set the Biodiesel Market Index Price (HIP) for September 2025 at Rp13,948 per liter, plus transport costs. This represents an increase of Rp421 compared to August, which was Rp13,527/liter.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The government has once again raised the reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) for the period of September 1–30, 2025, to US$954.71 per metric ton (MT). This figure is a 4.81% increase, or US$43.80, compared to last month's price of US$910.91/MT.

This was revealed by Palm Oil Research Center (PPKS) researcher Djend Muhayat, who affirmed that the presence of these ferns is beneficial to the palm oil plantation ecosystem.

Two professors from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Riau University (UNRI), Prof. Zaili Rusli and Prof. Seno Andri, are leading a strategic research project titled "Adaptive Institutional Model for Strengthening Competitiveness and Resilience of Independent Palm Oil Farmers" in Bengkalis Regency.

This westernmost region of the archipelago is also recognized as the ancestral home of the national palm oil industry. From the soil of Aceh, the first commercial palm oil plantation in Indonesia grew, specifically in 1911 in Sei Liput, Aceh Tamiang Regency, initiated by European entrepreneurs during the colonial era.
