InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The Forest Area Compliance Task Force (Satgas PKH) has begun collecting administrative fines from dozens of companies operating illegally in forest areas. The latest report shows 71 companies—from the palm oil and mining sectors—are on the collection list.

Task Force spokesperson Barita Simanjuntak said the collection process started Monday (8 December 2025). Of the total companies, 49 palm oil firms are required to pay Rp 9.4 trillion, while 22 illegal mining companies face fines totaling Rp 29.2 trillion, based on calculations by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

Of the 49 palm oil firms, all have been summoned and 33 complied with the summons. Fifteen companies have paid around Rp 1.7 trillion, while five others expressed readiness to settle their obligations. Some companies have filed objections.

A similar situation occurred among mining firms: 13 attended the summons, one paid Rp 500 billion, while nine are still awaiting collection and one lodged objections.

Barita emphasized that while the task force provides room for dialogue, regulatory obligations must remain the priority.
“The task force expects all 71 corporations to cooperate and fulfill their obligations,” he said. (T2)
