InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp. 14,611/kg on Monday (20/10/2025), thus the CPO price recorded an increase of Rp. 9/kg or about 0.06% compared to the highest CPO offer price on Friday (17/10/2025) which reached Rp. 14,602/kg.
From information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price Franco Belawan & Dumai was set at Rp. 14,611/kg. The CPO price Talang Duku opened at Rp. 14,411/kg, but a Withdraw (WD) occurred with the highest CPO offer price of Rp. 14,353/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by India Times, India's vegetable oil imports surged sharply by 51% to 1.639 million tons in September 2025, compared to 1.087 million tons in the same period last year. This increase was mainly driven by surging shipments of crude palm oil (CPO), while processed oil imports dropped to zero for the first time since 2021.
The data was conveyed by the Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA), which stated that the surge occurred after the Indian government widened the import duty difference between CPO and processed palm oil type RBD Palmolein from 8.25% to 19.25%, effective from May 31, 2025.
This policy made processed oil imports uneconomical and encouraged the domestic industry to increase the capacity for refining crude oil domestically.
