InfoSAWIT, NAGAN RAYA — The Nagan Raya Regency Government has issued a firm directive requiring all palm oil mills to purchase farmers’ fresh fruit bunches (FFB) at government-set prices.
Regent TR Keumangan delivered the instruction during a meeting with palm oil mill operators at the regency office complex in Suka Makmue on Monday (January 26, 2026).
“There is no room for bargaining, excuses, or tolerance. Mills must buy farmers’ FFB at the prices determined by the government,” he stressed.
The regent warned that companies violating the rule could face sanctions ranging from temporary shutdowns to license revocation. He also reminded plantation companies holding cultivation rights (HGU) not to act arbitrarily toward local communities, particularly in land-related disputes. (T2)
