North Sumatra Palm Fresh Fruit Bunch Prices Slip in Early January

InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm plantations in North Sumatra declined during the January 7–13, 2026 pricing period, following a decision by the provincial pricing team.

The team agreed to lower the price for FFB from plantations aged 10–20 years by Rp 13.73 per kilogram to Rp 3,437.53/kg.

According to data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, prices varied by tree age. Three-year-old palms were priced at Rp 2,664.09/kg, while four-year-old palms fetched Rp 2,916.98/kg. Prices peaked at Rp 3,437.53/kg for palms aged 10–20 years before declining gradually for older trees.

For the period, crude palm oil (CPO) was set at Rp 14,003.47/kg, palm kernel at Rp 11,440.63/kg, with a K index of 92.81%. (T2)
