InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s efforts to strengthen its foothold in the Chinese market saw significant momentum as the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) hosted a Trade Networking Visit for 37 major buyers from China on 25–27 November 2025.
The delegation, representing food and non-food sectors, visited plantations and refineries to observe Malaysia’s sustainable production systems. They also joined BizMatch sessions to discuss supply needs, product development, and potential commercial partnerships.
During an Industry Dialogue, Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to transparent policies, stable export frameworks, and strong bilateral industry collaboration.
MPOC CEO Belvinder Sron said the visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen market confidence through direct engagement and firsthand exposure to Malaysia’s value chain.
Participants expressed appreciation for the comprehensive program, noting that the visit provided deeper insight into Malaysia’s long-term supply capacity and sustainability standards. (T2)
