PalmCo PTPN4 Benchmarks AI FFB Grading System at PGK Jambi Mill

InfoSAWIT, JAMBI – A team from PalmCo PTPN4 conducted a working visit to the PGK Jambi Palm Oil Mill (PKS) on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. The agenda focused on benchmarking the implementation of the AI-based Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Grading system, which is integrated with the mySAP365 platform. This technology represents a breakthrough in the digitalization of FFB receipt and quality assessment.

The integrated AI Grading system with the mySAP365 Agrobusiness ERP is proven to automatically assess FFB quality, reducing potential manual bias, speeding up the grading process, and generating a complete audit trail. The entire process, from receipt at the weighbridge to payment and quality reporting, is recorded digitally and transparently.

"With high data accuracy, this system not only supports operational efficiency but also strengthens business accountability and legality," said a PalmCo representative in an official statement received by InfoSAWIT on Friday (9/26/2025). Every transaction can be traced back to its origin source, transporter vehicle, and unloading time, making it ready for both internal and external audits.

Furthermore, the use of this precise data is believed to drive the optimization of the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Oil Extraction Rate (OER). Material balance calculations can now be performed in real-time, offering the opportunity for significant productivity gains.

The benchmarking at the PGK Jambi PKS also serves as a validation that digital transformation in the agribusiness sector is not just about technological innovation, but also a foundation for industry sustainability. The system is deemed worthy of replication across other PKS units within the PalmCo ecosystem, aligning with the "Golden Indonesia 2045" vision that emphasizes efficiency and transparency.

PalmCo PTPN4 expressed appreciation for PGK PKS's readiness to share its experience in implementing the system. Through synergy and cross-unit learning, PalmCo reaffirmed its commitment to providing technological solutions that deliver a real impact on production quality, farmer welfare, and the national palm oil industry's competitiveness.
