InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp 14,755/kg on Monday, September 22, 2025. This marks a gain of Rp 94/kg, or about 0.64%, compared to the price of Rp 14,661/kg on Friday, September 19, 2025.
According to information from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Kuala Tanjung, Belawan, and Dumai was set at Rp 14,755/kg. The FOB Talang Duku price was Rp 14,555/kg, and the Franco Teluk Bayur price was Rp 14,625/kg.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that palm oil futures on the Malaysian exchange opened higher on Monday. Positive sentiment came from a rise in soybean oil prices on the Dalian Commodity Exchange and a strengthening of global crude oil prices, though a weaker Chicago soyoil market limited gains.
The benchmark CPO contract for December delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange rose by RM 16 per ton, or 0.36%, to RM 4,441 (US$1,055.37) per ton in early trading.
The most active soybean oil contract on the Dalian exchange rose 0.26%, while the palm oil contract on the same exchange fell slightly by 0.15%. Soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade also dropped by 0.06%.
In terms of exports, cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services reported that Malaysian palm oil product shipments from September 1-20 increased by 8.7% compared to the same period the previous month.
In the currency market, the ringgit—the trading currency for palm oil—weakened by 0.1% against the US dollar, making the commodity relatively cheaper for foreign buyers.
