Lonsum Records Rp714 Billion Net Profit in H1 2025, Up 19%

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk (Lonsum) recorded solid financial performance during the first half of 2025, despite facing agribusiness sector challenges such as fluctuating commodity prices, unpredictable weather, and global uncertainty.

In its interim consolidated financial report for the six-month period ended June 30, 2025, Lonsum reported sales of Rp2.32 trillion. This figure represents a 29% increase compared to the same period last year, primarily supported by a rise in the average selling price of palm oil products.

Although fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production from core plantations declined by 2% to 505 thousand tons, total crude palm oil (CPO) production increased by 6% year-on-year to 130 thousand tons. This increase was driven by a higher supply of FFB from external parties.

This achievement led to improved profit performance. The company's gross profit surged 54% to Rp926 billion, while operating profit grew 17% to Rp715 billion. Net profit attributable to the parent entity's owners was recorded at Rp714 billion, up 19% compared to the first half of 2024.

Furthermore, core profit showed an impressive growth of 54% to Rp791 billion. Notably, as of the end of June 2025, Lonsum had no bank loan financing, reflecting a strong and healthy financial structure.

Lonsum President Director, Tan Agustinus Dermawan, stated that this positive performance is a result of the company's consistent strategy of implementing efficiency and sustainability.

"During the first half of 2025, Lonsum successfully maintained positive performance despite industry challenges. We remain focused on cost control, operational efficiency, and strict selection in capital investments, while continuing to drive productivity improvements and implementing sustainable agricultural practices," said Tan in a statement quoted by InfoSAWIT on Thursday (7/8/2025).
