InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at Rp14,600/kg on Friday (August 1, 2025), marking an increase of approximately Rp75/Kg or a rise of 0.52% compared to the highest CPO price offered on Thursday (July 31, 2025), which reached Rp14,525/Kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the price of CPO Franco Belawan opened at Rp14,600/Kg. The price of Franco Dumai also opened at Rp14,600/Kg, but there was a withdrawal (WD) with the highest offer price of Rp13,578/Kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, the price of crude palm oil (CPO) on the Malaysian Exchange strengthened again on Friday (August 1, 2025), after initially weakening at the beginning of the session. Positive sentiment came from the depreciation of the ringgit and the United States' decision to lower import tariffs on Malaysian products, easing pressure in the market.

The October 2025 palm oil futures contract on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange recorded an increase of RM14 per ton or 0.33%, reaching RM4,244 per metric ton (approximately US$992.75) at midday.

However, on a weekly basis, this contract still recorded a decline of 1.68%, marking a decrease for two consecutive weeks.

Based on estimates from cargo surveyors, Malaysia's palm oil exports in July fell between 6.7% and 9.6%.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) is scheduled to release official supply and demand data on August 11, 2025, which will serve as a key reference for market participants in determining future positions.

Meanwhile, global vegetable oil prices also strengthened. The soyoil contract price in Dalian rose by 0.24%, while the palm oil contract price increased slightly by 0.04%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soyoil prices strengthened by 0.37%.
