InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – On Friday, July 25, 2025, the price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) experienced a withdrawal, with the highest offer price set at Rp14,450/kg. This marks a decrease of approximately Rp175/kg, or 1.20%, compared to the CPO price of Rp14,625/kg recorded on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO prices for Franco Belawan & Dumai opened at Rp14,525/kg but were subsequently withdrawn, with the highest offer at Rp14,450/kg. Meanwhile, the Loco Kembayan price opened at Rp14,075/kg, also facing a withdrawal, with the highest offer at Rp13,770/kg.
In related news, Reuters reported that crude palm oil prices on the Malaysian exchange opened lower on Friday, July 25, erasing all gains made throughout the week. Negative sentiment stemming from the decline in palm olein prices in Dalian and soyoil prices in Chicago outweighed any positive momentum from rising global crude oil prices.
The benchmark CPO contract for October delivery fell by RM65, or 1.5%, to RM4,265 (equivalent to US$1,011.14) per metric ton in early trading. This decline has resulted in a 0.09% decrease in contract performance over the week, ending a three-week streak of gains.
Global market pressures are exerting significant influence on Malaysian CPO prices. While the most actively traded soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange saw a slight increase of 0.49%, palm oil prices on the same exchange dropped by 0.69%. Additionally, soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade also corrected by 0.35%.
Global soyoil and palm olein prices often serve as benchmarks and direct competitors to palm oil, making their movements crucial in shaping the dynamics of the CPO market, particularly regarding demand and export price competitiveness.
