CPO Prices at KPBN Slightly Decrease on Thursday (July 24), Palm Oil Trading Weakens on Bursa Malaysia

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at IDR 14,625/kg on Thursday (July 24, 2025), reflecting a decrease of approximately IDR 41/kg or a 0.28% drop compared to the CPO price on Wednesday (July 23, 2025), which was IDR 14,666/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO prices for Franco Belawan & Dumai were set at IDR 14,625/kg. The price for Loco Kembayan opened at IDR 14,175/kg but experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid price at IDR 13,925/kg. Meanwhile, the price for Loco Pelaihari opened at IDR 14,071/kg but also saw a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid price at IDR 13,455/kg.

In related news, Reuters reported that crude palm oil (CPO) prices on Bursa Malaysia weakened during trading on Thursday (July 24, 2025), pressured by higher-than-expected production increases and the strengthening of the ringgit against the US dollar, despite rising soyoil prices in global markets.

The October futures contract for CPO on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell slightly by RM6 per ton, or 0.14%, to RM4,309 (approximately USD 1,022.30) per metric ton during the midday trading pause. This decline followed two previous sessions of price increases.

In other vegetable oil markets, the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian Exchange rose by 0.55%, while the palm oil contract increased by 0.27%. Additionally, soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) also recorded a slight increase of 0.02%.
