Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, the price of crude palm oil (CPO) on the Malaysian Exchange remained flat on Thursday, June 19, 2025, amid a tug-of-war between positive sentiment from rising vegetable oil prices on the Dalian exchange and weak demand from major markets like India.

The benchmark contract for palm oil for September 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange (FCPOc3) recorded a slight decline of RM4 per ton or 0.1%, settling at RM4,096 per metric ton (approximately USD 962.41) during the midday break.

From the Dalian exchange, the most active soybean oil contract (DBYcv1) saw an increase of 1.44%, while the palm oil contract (DCPcv1) rose by 0.52%. Meanwhile, trading in vegetable oils on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) was halted due to a national holiday in the United States, resulting in limited references from other global markets.
