InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati officially inaugurated the new management team of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) during a large-scale appointment of 139 echelon II officials within the Ministry of Finance. This appointment is part of the government's strategic steps to strengthen the governance of state finances, particularly in strategic sectors such as the palm oil industry.
The appointment also includes non-echelons units, including BPDP, which has played a crucial role in funding downstream programs, revitalizing smallholder palm oil, and promoting sustainability in the national palm oil sector. The new BPDP management structure reflects the spirit of renewal that Sri Mulyani advocates in reforming public fund management institutions.
The newly appointed BPDPKS management team includes Eddy Abdurrachman as the President Director; Zaid Burhan Ibrahim as the Director of Finance, Risk Management, and General Affairs; Normansyah Hidayat Syahruddin as the Director of Fund Distribution for the Upstream Sector; Mohammad Alfansyah as the Director of Fund Distribution for the Downstream Sector; and Lupi Hartono as the Director of Planning and Fund Management.
In her remarks, Sri Mulyani emphasized that the positions held by the officials, including those in BPDPKS, represent a significant mandate from the state. “This position is not merely an administrative placement but a strategic assignment that requires high professionalism, strong integrity, and sensitivity to public challenges,” she stated, as reported by InfoSAWIT from Antara on June 16, 2025.
The Finance Minister also highlighted that this appointment occurs at a crucial time when the government is accelerating the implementation of the Astacita priority program—eight national strategic agendas, one of which focuses on strengthening the green economy and sustainable industries. In this context, BPDP plays a key role as a bridge between the interests of the state, farmers, and the national palm oil industry. (T2)
