InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the spirit of strengthening ties and sharing joy during Eid al-Adha, Wilmar has distributed 341 sacrificial animals to communities across Indonesia. The donations, consisting of 84 cattle and 257 goats, were distributed throughout Wilmar's operational units, including factories, plantations, and regional offices.
Wilmar's Human Capital Head, Erlina Panitri, explained that the distribution of sacrificial animals is part of the company's commitment to be present and contribute positively to the community, especially during religious moments filled with spiritual and social meaning.
"Eid al-Adha is an important moment to reflect on the meaning of sacrifice, empathy, and sincerity. Through this sacrificial activity, we want to strengthen our relationship with the surrounding community while bringing happiness to those around the company's operations," said Erlina in an official statement received by InfoSAWIT on Tuesday (10/6/2025).
The distribution of sacrificial animals involved various community stakeholders, such as village governments, mosques and prayer halls, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), orphanages, as well as local figures and communities. This aims to increase direct community participation in this activity. In addition, Wilmar ensures that all sacrificial animals distributed meet health and feasibility standards in accordance with Islamic law and applicable health protocols.
Erlina added that this sacrificial distribution is not only part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, but also an expression of gratitude for the sustainability of Wilmar's business in Indonesia and the contributions made by communities around the company's operational areas.
"We believe that a company that grows big is a company that grows with its community," Erlina concluded.
