Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom is setRp13.400/kg on Wednesday (21/5/2025), thus the CPO price rose by 0.37% or there was an increase of around IDR 50/kg, compared to the CPO price on Tuesday (20/5/2025) which reachedRp13.350/Kg.
From the information obtained InfoSAWIT from KPBN, Franco CPO Price Belawan, Kuala Tanjung & Dumaiset Rp13.400/Kg. The price of CPO Franco Teluk Bayur openedRp13.270/kg but there was a withdrawal (WD) at the highest bid priceRp13.193/Kg. The price of Franco Talang Duku CPO is set at IDR 13,200/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil contract prices on Bursa Malaysia recorded a slight increase in trading on Wednesday (21/5/2025), driven by strengthening prices of competing vegetable oils and relatively optimistic export data. However, the positive sentiment was overshadowed by increasing production and inventory, which limited the rate of price increases.
The benchmark crude palm oil (CPO) contract for August 2025 delivery on Bursa Derivatives Malaysia (FCPOc3) rose RM8 a tonne, or about 0.2%, to RM3,916 a metric tonne (about US$917.10) at the midday break. This was the third straight day of gains.
A Kuala Lumpur-based trader said that the price strengthening was triggered by positive sentiment from the global vegetable oil market, especially soybean oil, as well as export performance showing improvement.
From the international market, the most active soybean oil contract on the Dalian Exchange (DBYcv1) rose 0.18%, while the price of the Dalian palm oil contract (DCPcv1) strengthened 0.3%. On the Chicago Exchange, the price of soybean oil (BOcv1) also rose 0.79%, supporting the upward trend in the Malaysian CPO market.
