PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) Reports Net Profit of IDR 367 Billion in Q1 2025, Up 60% YoY

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (‘the Company’ or ‘DSNG’) successfully recorded a net profit of IDR 367 billion in the first quarter of 2025, experiencing significant growth of 60% year-on-year (YoY). This achievement was driven by a 20% YoY increase in the Company’s revenue to IDR 448 billion, with total revenue reaching IDR 2 .7 trillion. The palm oil business segment remains the main contributor, accounting for 88% of the Company's revenue.

During the first quarter of 2025, PT DSNG also reported an increase in the average selling price (ASP) of palm oil products. The ASP for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) rose by 27% to IDR 14,909/kg, while the ASP for Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) surged by 108% to IDR 27,349/kg, and the ASP for Palm Kernel (PK) increased by 101% to IDR 10,814/kg. Consequently, the Company recorded an EBITDA of IDR 861 billion.

Andrianto Oetomo, President Director of PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk, explained that dry weather conditions in the first quarter of 2024 impacted the production of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) in the Company's main operational areas.

"This decline affected the supply of CPO, PKO, and PK, contributing to the increase in selling prices of palm oil products in line with supply and demand dynamics. Good cost control also positively impacted the Company's profitability," he stated in an official statement received by InfoSAWIT on Tuesday (April 29, 2025).

From an operational perspective, the Company's CPO production decreased by 8% YoY, alongside an 8.7% YoY decline in FFB supply. This reduction also affected the production of PK and PKO, which fell by 8.1% and 17.2% YoY, respectively, due to insufficient rainfall in the previous period and the replanting of over 3,000 hectares of palm trees.

In addition to the palm oil segment, the Company's wood products segment also recorded positive performance, with revenue from panel products increasing by 6.3% YoY and engineered flooring products growing by 13.5% YoY. This improvement was supported by strategies to navigate the less favorable global economic conditions and innovations to enter non-traditional markets.

In the Renewable Energy sector, the Company has conducted its first export of wood pellets to Japan, amounting to 10,500 tons, as part of its strategy to implement a circular economy through the utilization of solid waste. However, exports of palm oil shells experienced a significant decline in the first quarter of 2025.

Overall, the Company's total assets increased by 1.3% YoY to IDR 17.6 trillion, while liabilities decreased by approximately 2% YoY. This reflects healthy asset growth and a solid financial position, supported by an improved bond rating of idA+ from Pefindo.

The Company's solid achievements have also been recognized through various awards, including the Best Stock Awards from Investortrust and the Fortune Indonesia Change the World award for its contributions to addressing global climate change challenges. PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk is also listed as a constituent in several indices on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). (T2)
