InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –The Sustainable Palm Oil Initiative (SPOI) which is the cooperation between General Directorate of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture and United Nations Development Program (UNDP),has mapped some initiatives and done by many organizations/instances, and private companies, including the data of planters in Indonesia. About 31 thousand data of the planters are in many organizations/instances and companies in Indonesia.
To consolidate the data, and to make sure that the initiatives of the stakeholders could be in synergy to support the prior programs done by the government, Taskforce Database of the Planters is made within the direction from General Director of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture.
From what InfoSAWIT got, the taskforceis coordinated by Secretary of General Directorate of Plantation, and Director of Plantation Marketing and Management, Directorate General of Plantation, within the members, such as, SPOI, UNDP, Yayasan Inovasi Bumi (Inobu), Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS),andYayasan Institut Sumber Daya Dunia (WRI).
The Taskforce databasehas successfully developed the Planters Database System or Sistem Database Planters in the minimal format based on the Decision of General Director of Plantation No. 105/2018 about the Guidelines to Publish Cultivation Documents and the Condition of PKSP. The minimal data format would be used by many sides to consolidate their planters’ data.
Sistem Database Pekebunwhich Yayasan Inovasi Bumi also supports has been integrated by e-Cultivation Documents which would facilitate the planters in every region in Indonesia to propose to get on-line Cultivation Documents, faster and free in charge.
It is hoped that the General Directorate of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture could consolidate and manage every organization/institution/private company by Sistem Database Pekebunto improve the planters governance. The data could be used to long or short term – plan.(T2)
