InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Forum Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan Indonesia (FoKSBI) which is coordinated by the government and consists of the government officers, the privates, academy, and non-government organizations has formulated National Action Plans in Sustainable Palm Oil  (NAPSPO)to be the references in supporting the policies of the government.

From what InfoSAWIT got, Thursday (29/11/2018), the documents of NAPSPO have been agreed by the Steering Committee of FoKSBI and given to the government. This would be un-separated one to the President’s Regulation Draft about the Development System in Sustainable Palm Oil in Indonesia.

Deputy Assistant in Plantation, and Horticulture, Deputy in Agriculture and Food, Coordinator Ministry in Economy, Wilistra Danny said that the arrangement of NAPSOP has three goals, they are, it is the document of reference for the stakeholders to implement sustainable palm oil development in Indonesia as it is regulated in the President’s Regulation about the Development System in Sustainable Palm oil and becomes the attachment in the President’s Regulation itself.

The second is that it is the tool to strengthen the coordination and synergy among many sides to realize the goal sustainable palm oil development in this country.

The third, he Donny continued, is that as a tool to increase the supervision in its implementation. “NAPSPO could be the reference for the private sector to expand what they have been doing as the commitment to support the policy that the government has published in sustainable palm oil development,” Wilistra said.
