InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the series of kegiatan Musyawarah Nasional (Munas) Keluarga Alumni Instiper Jogajakarta, on 26-27 October 2018 in Grand Mercure Kemayoran, Jakarta, about 300 members ofKeluarga Alumni Instiper (KA-Instiper) Jogjakarta, the invitation from plantation companies, civil organization, the coordinators from the central KA-Instiper, the experts and coordinators from 17 regions in Sumatera, Jawa, Bali, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi attended the seminar within the theme, ‘Kelapa Sawit Sebagai Penopang Kemandirian Pangan & Energi Nasional’.
Chairman of the Committee, Kamsen Saragih said, the event was to develop the thought by making scientific discussion about palm oil plantation in Indonesia. “We hoped that from the discussion, there would be strategic thought to develop palm oil plantations, food plantation, and bio – energy,” Kamsen said, Friday (26/10/2018) in Jakarta.
He also said, there are two reasons why the committee chose the theme about palm oil plantation. The first is that palm oil plantations have supported and be the foundation of development nationally because palm oil is grouped as one biggest exchange provider for the country.
The second is that from many alumni Instiper Jogjakarta in many regions in Indonesia, most of them work in palm oil plantation sector. It is hoped that this event could be the place to share knowledge and experience to develop palm oil plantations in the future.
“We hope that the event could be the place to share knowledge in the future in the national scale and increase the knowledge,” Kamsen said. (T2)
