InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - In August2018, the palm oil export volume from Indonesia (CPO, PKO,and its derivatives), oleochemical, and biodiesel had the highest record in monthly history, reaching 3,3 million tons or increased 2% compared to the July 2018 exports which reached 3,22 million tons.

“For palm oil (CPO, PKO, and its derivative) the exports got the highest record in 2018 reaching 2,99 million tons,” kata Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Mukti Sarjono said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Monday (1/10/2018).

Though the CPO and derivative exports in August 2018 got the highest, but compared to the same period in last year (January – August ), the export decreased 2% or from 20,43 million in January – August 2017 to be 19,96 million tons in the same period in 2018.

“The high demands on palm oil globally could not increase the CPO price globally too. In the opposite, the cheap CPO globally was advantaged by the traders to buy it more,” Mukti said. (T2)
