InfoSAWIT, SENGKAHARAK -After facing difficulty for years, Karsidi (55) of Purworejo now could smile for there is new hope by the partnership with Bumitama Gunajaya Agro (BGA) Group. 

The replanting program for the smallholders in Village of Sengkaharak makes the trust that the partnership could improve their economy which was not running well.

But he said, it is not easy to take every villager to do replanting program for they still defend their areas by saying the areas are in highly productivity. As matter of fact, the areas were planted in 1992/1993. “We have to admit, the union faced problems to take the villagers to join replanting program,” he recently said in Village of Sengkaharak.

He continued, the villagers questioned about the replanting program. It is normal for they had bad experience to make partnership with the company.

So he said, his side will keep trying so that every villager could join the replanting program. If the villagers are left behind, it will be risky. “We hope, we could nurse our areas together, have credit to be more comfortable. If it needs too, the credits togetherly are fully paid,” he said.(T2)
