InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –In August 2017 the average palm oil price globally increased 2% or from US$ 662,50 per metric ton to be US$ 676 per ton, or about US$ 652,50 – US$ 695 per ton.

Meanwhile the palm oil production in Indonesia during August 2017 reached 3,95 milliontonsorincreased 5% compared to the previous month that reached 3,75 milliontons. The better exports but not the production decreased the stock in Indonesia. “By the end of August, the stock reached 2,69 milliontonsordecreased 1% compared to the previous stock,” General Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Togar Sitanggang said in the official statement toInfoSAWIT.

In biodiesel sector, the absorption in August significantly increased, reaching 47% orfrom 142 thousandtonsin Jult to be 210 thousandtonsin August. The better domestic biodiesel absorption run well and consistently as same as the biodiesel mandatory that has been planned. It would increase more in the future. (T2)
