InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA–Vice Chairman of Legislation Board, Indonesian Legislators, Firman Subagyo suggested to make a national board, such as, in Malaysia within Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). “MPOB is the integrated and credible board for it has full authority to regulate the palm oil management from the upstream to downstream sectors in the country,” he said in his official statement.

He also said, MPOB was made based on the Laws in Malaysia for its government realized, it is important to protect palm oil industries nationally from out siders. Indonesia as the sovereign country could learn from Malaysia. In the future, there would be no other countries, interfere to internal issue in Indonesia.

For years, he continued, there were many international issues that humilated Indonesia. “It seems, our country does not realize, the accusations are unreasonable and negatively influence the image of Indonesia in the world,” he said.

The concept of the board to deal with palm oil, he said, has been regulated in Palm oil Draft. So the Draft in the legislation process should be published for the national economy. (T3)
