InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU –The palm oil areas of Sinarmas Lima managed by Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food in Sub district of Kandis, District of Siak, Riau Province now intensively does replanting program to increase the production. In 2017, the replanting program would cover about 3.500 hectares.
The program is the continuous one which has been running since 2012. The areas of Sinarmas Lima has been replanting about 15.000 hectares.
CEO of Perkebunan Sinarmas Lima, Franciscus Costan said, there are about 84.755 hectaresbelonging to Sinarmas in Riau. Of the numbers, 50.054 hectaresare the main areas, and 32,972 hectaresare the plasma areas, and 477 hectaresbelong to the independent ones.
The areas are in some disctricts, such as, Siak, Kampar, Indragiri Hulu,and Indragiri Hilir. "We target, every area would have replanting program, including the plasma and independent smallholders’. It is hoped to be finished in 2027,” he said.(T3)
