InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA– Based on Ministry of Agriculture, in 2017, PT Dami Mas Sejahtera targets to produce 15 million palm oil seeds, including the seeds from the netculture, by the end of 2017.

Director of PT Dami Mas Sejahtera, Tony Liwang is optimist, the targets could be realized by the end of this year. In addition, the production plan would be supplying the company itself, and the orders reaching about 5,2 million seeds.

Tony also told, since in the first semester, Dami Mas has planned the companies to buy the seeds, both in the first semester and in the second semester.

“The seeds production would be boosted in the second semester. It is predicted, in the second semester there are still about 7 million to 8 million seeds to sell. By August 2017, there have been 6 million seeds. So it is still on track,” he said.

But, he also explained, the seed production depends on the weather and crude palm oil price. He thought, the palm oil seed demands are decreasing globally. “Not only in this country, but the seed selling globally decreases,” Tony said. (T2)
