InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA -Based on Indonesian Palm oil Board (IPOB), palm oil production in January reached 2,8 million tons, but in May 2017, it reached 3,3 million tons.
Knowing this, the production in 2017 could be increasing. “The total numbers of annual production would be more than the production in 2016 which reached 33 million tons,” Iskandar Andi Nuhung, Executive Director of IPOB said, as quoted from kontan.co.id
Over all, the palm oil trade would be increasing knowing that it is in good weather. The production would be developing and getting the target as what General Directorate of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture has targeted, reaching 36 million tons.
Though there are some decreasing in imports from the importer countries, Iskandar explained, the selling is still increasing. Some countries still do imports and there are some getting more crude palm oil imports. He is optimist, the selling would be increasing too. (T3)
