InfoSAWIT, BLANGPIDIE –The fire in the peatland happened in Jalan 30, Village of Rukon Dame, Sub district of Babahrot, District of Aceh Barat Daya (Abdya). As quoted from Serambinews.com, a villager of Babahrot, Mustafa, said, the fire started rising on Friday (21/7) afternoon to Sunday (23/7). The fire in peatland got larger and burned the people’s palm oil areas.
The other villager, Jasman said, around the burning location, at least, there were five hotspots on Jalan 30 or around Village of Rukon Dame and Village of Lhok Gayo. The hotspot raised about 7 kilometers of the National road, that is, in the way from village of Ie Mirah, Sub district of Babahrot to Village of Lama Tuha, Sub district of Kuala Batee.
The fire started burning the people’s palm oil areas, such as, belonging to Sapta Oga (50), the villager of Lhok Gayo. “The smoke covered some part of Jalan 30 around village of Rukon Dame because of the burning peatland,”(T3)
