InfoSAWIT, PALANGKARAYA – Central Kalimantan Province keeps trying the strategies to realize Regional Action Plan Sustainable Palm Oil or Rencana Aksi Daerah Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAD KSB) by implementing regulation and getting solution on palm oil plantation legal based on every available regulation. one main focus is to get solution about palm oil plantations that develop in forest regions.

Head of Plantation Protection, Plantation Agency Central Kalimantan Province, Adi Soeseno said that the province still waits for the audit and identification results from Palm Oil Taskforce about the case.

Palm Oil Taskforce coordinated by Coordinator Ministry in Economy and other related instances and ministries, got inventory and data in the region to know palm oil plantation activity in the province.

Identification data from the taskforce would be very crucial because it would be the basic to realize RAD KSB and other plantation programs that regulations mandate. Adi also explained that palm oil plantation that operate in forest regions would get the same mechanism as the central government regulates, which is, Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja.

He also emphasized that Central Kalimantan Province would be committed to deliver legal enforcement and regional regulation would confirm to deliver mutual benefits between the plantation sectors and the people. The goal is about to get the solution for palm oil plantations in forest regions while developing good partnership with the local.

“Central Kalimantan Province is committed to formulate policies and program that maintain, encourage to realize sustainable palm oil plantation development,” Adi said, as quoted from Prokal.
