InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Palm oil plantation company, PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk (CSRA) remains discipline in cost and targets to get good business profits in 2023 though El Nino still happens. By the first nine months of 2023 (9M23), CSRA successfully maintained the income up to Rp 676,30 billion, though it decreased from Rp 765,16 billion in the same period last year.

As quoted from the official information of the company, the decreasing main income happened for the cheaper average selling price of crude palm oil (CPO) that reached about 18,5% year on year (YoY) in 9M23. But the company keeps focusing on sustainable development to get solid productivity level and operational mainstay.

The main focus of the company is about to escalate margin through investment in mechanism to get efficient production and cost management. Though fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production from the main plantations decreased 1,6% YoY in 9M23 because of the weather, the company anticipated long-term production by conducting replanting program sustainably.

“It is important to get replanting program as the way of CSRA to avoid unproductive palm oil trees because of their ages. Sustainable replanting with superior seeds is crucial to escalate yield production in the plantations,” the company noted as InfoSAWIT quoted, Wednesday (27/12/2023).

Though the macro economy may not be running well, including higher inflation that would have something to do with nowadays economy, CSRA performance in 9M23 remained stable. The gross profits reached Rp 317,25 billion in 9M23, represented the decreasing 35,7% from the same period in last year.

The company keeps controlling cost management though it escalated 32,1% YoY cost of goods sold because of the increasing fertilizer price significantly. By having sustainable business strategies, CSRA successful got profits up to Rp 180,90 billion in 9M23 though the numbers decreased 50,3% compared to the same period last year. (T2)
