“Central Kalimantan IPOA thought it is important to develop the good investment climate in facing challenges and obstacles in palm oil sector,” the document noted as what InfoSAWIT recently got.
Referring to the principles in the Laws Number 39 / 2014 about Plantation, it emphasized the advantages of sustainability, unity, togetherness, openness, justice, development, and progress.
Though palm oil sector develops, there are challenges, such as, business disturbance, and plantation conflicts, for instance, conflicts between the companies and the people, claim of the people on indigenous laws, overlapping areas, and FFB stealing. The last one is happening.
The better FFB price delivered new impacts, which is, the massive FFB stealing. Every prevention has been done, including regular patrol in plantation areas, delivering legal counseling, and supporting legal action according to the available regulation in cooperation with the police.
By the statement members of Central Kalimantan IPOA appreciate the full support for the legal officers’ firm legal action to deal with plantation business disturbance. The members of Central Kalimantan IPOA hope that the legal action would be reinforced in the province to get conducive investment climate and deliver guaranty of safety in (plantation) investment.
