After RSPO 20 Years: Solve Sustainable Palm Oil Challenges

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - As non-profit organization that focuses on sustainable palm oil practices, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) would re-conduct Roundtable Conference (RT). The theme would be ‘Partners for the Next 20’ as the collaboration to face sustainable palm oil challenges.

RSPO – multi-stakeholder non-profit organization would re-conduct roundtable meeting (RT2023) about sustainable palm oil on 20 - 22 November 2023 in the Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia.

This would be the first roundtable meeting (RT) after pandemic era. RT 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is said as the most successful RT because more than 800 delegations from about 40 countries attended it. “We would like to keep that moment to happen this year,” RSPO recently noted, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

RT2023 would propose the theme “Partners for the Next 20”. It would collaboratively take real actions to solve what sustainable palm oil industries are facing.

It is believed RT 2023 in Jakarta would deliver many chances for RSPO and its partners to realize the same vision when sustainable palm oil managed by RSPO is heading to its 20 years anniversary in April 2024.

Chief Executive Officer, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), Joseph (JD) D'Cruz said that this would be the anniversary to celebrate every incredible achievement that RSPO and its partners have got in the past 2 decades, starting from mobilizing every stakeholder to taking almost 20% of palm oil production to the globe in the closest certification standards to escalate smallholders, workers, local communities’ sources of living in the world and to show that sustainability and economic prosperity could live side by side in harmony.

“To follow up the moment, RT 2023 would propose the theme “Partners for the Next 20”. It would be the key to get our same goals for the next two decades. We have the chances, as partners in the globe to take firm actions, solve every future challenge in sustainable palm oil industries,” Joseph (JD) D'Cruz.

Every discussion would help to arrange strategies to make impactful changes in agriculture, particularly when the planet is in crisis. “We hope to reinforce our partnership as same as what we would do for the next 2 decades and forth,” D'Cruz said. (T2)
