InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – President of PT Bio Inti Agrindo, Hyun Chang Seop said that the company is committed to realize sustainable palm oil practices. Since the beginning, the company has conducted conservation management sustainably as part of the way to realize No Deforestation, No Peatland, No Exploitation (NDPE) policy. It reflects responsibility to environment and ecology conservation that the main company adopts.
In its journey, PT Bio Inti Agrindo has become the main actor in plantation industry with the production reaching 32 tons of crude palm oil (CPO) per hectare last year. The company positively contributed to sustainability, played its important roles by having CPO production and significantly contributed in health sector.
It is important choice to get plantation operation transparently. The company is also committed to run the operational openly and honestly by involving the local people. The equal salary in the plantations is the priority to create fair work environment and support the workers’ welfare.
Hyun Chang Seop continued through its contribution to Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), PT Bio Inti Agrindo would specifically try to contribute in using modernity responsibly, confirm that every year the company would positively contribute to the environment and the people.
In environment aspect, the company emphasized to get natural conservation protection in the plantations, maintain high conservation values, protect rare species, such as, birds of Paradise, as the main focus. Satellite is used to monitor every activity and support the conservation.
The main programs of the company cover three sectors, they are, environment, economy, and social. By harmonizing the programs, PT Bio Inti Agrindo would do its best to positively deliver impacts for the local people starting from economic empowerment to spiritual cooperation programs. The company believed that collaboration with the governments, local people, and educational institutions would be the key to realize the programs.
“Everything would keep being evaluated and escalated in every year to confirm the positive progress to realize the vision of the company. PT Bio Inti Agrindo is committed to reach out the sustainable future, take every stakeholder to create palm oil plantations where they would be not productive only but also responsible in social and environmental perspective,” he said when being the speaker in Roundtable Meeting RSPO (RT2023) with the theme Partners for The Next 20 that InfoSAWIT attended, Wednesday, (22/11/2023) in Jakarta.
