InfoSAWIT, ACEH – Chairman of Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan) Aman Damai, Sutrisno P said that his group would be very happy to get development from Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) to propose Infrastructure Program which would be used to improve paths to production (plantations) and ways from the plantations to road.
He appreciated the supports from SPKS to escalate independent smallholders’ plantation productivity through the fund from Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) to improve the path for about 90 kilometers (km).
The gapoktan is in Dusun Leupon, Village of Buket Kuta, Sub district of Peudawa, District of East Aceh. “By having development from SPKS, we would understand more and fast to get smallholders’ data. The schedule would be on 28 September to deliver location and would be signed by head of Livestock and Plantation Agency, approved by Head of Public Work and People’s Housing District of East Aceh,” he said to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (26/9/2023).
This, Sutrisno continued, is about to get technical recommendation approval just like the terms and condition in the Decision of General Director of Plantation Number 273 / 2020 and the revision of Decision of General Director of Plantation Number 62 / 2023 about Infrastructure Technical Guidelines.
Almost 85 % of path infrastructure around smallholders’ palm oil plantations are in bad condition. When rain falls down, smallholders’ fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production could not be transported (to mills). Sometimes they had to leave it to get rotten.
That is why Gapoktan Aman Damai proposed to improve village road, path to smallholders’ plantations, such as in Dusun Leupon, Village of Buket Kuta, Village of Seuneubok Buya, Village of Lhok Leumak, and Village of Seuneubok Kuyeun, Sub district of Idi Tunong. The total would be 90 km long.
“We are in online registration process in infrastructure application. Insya Allah it would be complete by the late of this month,” he said.
Meanwhile Chairman of SPKS District of North Aceh, Abubakar Ar said that the organization is socializing to develop smallholders to get more understanding about getting grant from PFMA.
“The fund derives from smallholders’ FFB that public service obligation in Ministry of Finance gathered, doesn’t it? It is normal that the smallholders themselves could enjoy it. And in this short we would discuss with related instances in District of East Aceh, National Land Agency and BPKH Aceh,” he said
He continued, this would be about to get verification and recommendation in proposal administration to get infrastructures for Gapoktan Aman Damai.
“It is right that the group proposed to improve production path for about 90 km. We would help in the map. We hope that no one would make it difficult. We support everything because what SPKS does is about to welfare independent smallholders in Aceh Province,” he said. (T2)
