InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Start-up company just launched an application assistant in android – base for smallholders in Indonesia. It is called Petani Sawit Pro. Just like the name, it is now available in Google Play Store so that the smallholders could be pro. According to its founder, Wawan Dinawan, “pro” means Professional, Productive, and Profit.

“We realize that the smallholders’ challenge in Indonesia is productivity. That is why we develop Petani Sawit Pro so that they could be more professional in their plantation cultivation,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (26/7/2023).

By having professionalism, the smallholders should be more productive and escalate their palm oil plantation productivity. The end result, the man who have been a decade in palm oil industries, is the profits for the smallholders themselves.

To encourage it, Petani Sawit Pro is developed as the smallholders’ assistant. “Our role is about to help smallholders, deliver description about their business both in operational and financial issues,” Wawan said.

He continued the smallholders’ assistant would deliver relevant description in palm oil industries. “News, crude palm oil (CPO) price update so that they could anticipate the future situation,” he explained.

The digital assistant could also deliver recommendation for them when to harvest. The fluctuation of fresh fruit bunch price (FFB) should be wisely thought by the smallholders. “The smart calculator features could predict the profits from FFB selling transaction in the field,” he said.
