INFO SAWIT, PALUTA - Mahasiswa Paluta Bersatu (MPB) demonstrated in the Paluta Legislators hall near the Regent’s Office on last (15/11). They did that for the license of PT Paluta Inti Sawit (PIS) in Village of Siancuman, Sub district of Halongona Timur should be revoke for it is suspected to pollute the environment and damages the way.

The students asked, the Legislators should make the special committee to handle the waste and to investigate the way of Siancimun-Trans Batang Pane because of the company.

The coordinator of the students, Akhiruddin thought, PT PIS as the investor in the region is a pride of the villagers. But as a matter of fact, the company also pollutes the environment and gives bad luck around Sungai Langkimat. The river is now polluted and could not be consumed anymore. “Sungai Langkimat is polluted. It is in bad smell for the waste,” he said as quoted from beritasore.com.

The way within 8 tons in maximal where the government has constructed is now in total damage for the vehicles of PT PIS always operate on it. For this inconvenience, MPB asked the Legislators and the Regent to revoke the license of PT PIS because of those reasons.

Knowing the students’ complaint, one Paluta Legislators member, Samsul Bahri Daulay said, he would follow up their complaints to the leaders to be discussed. (T2)
