InfoSAWIT, SAMARINDA – According to Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Team of East Kalimantan Province to calculate FFB price in the second period - November 2023 (16 - 30 November 2023), it is decided that the > 10 year old FFB is increasing Rp 19,91/kg to be Rp 2.260,97/Kg.

InfoSAWIT, KOTAWARINGIN BARAT – District of Kotawaringin Barat (Kobar) showed its commitment to get sustainable palm oil plantation governance namely in palm oil sector. On Tuesday (28/11) in the hall of Agriculture Agency District of Kobar through Agriculture Agency, many participants came and gathered in the kick off meeting to formulate Rencana Aksi Daerah Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAD KSB) or Regional Action Plan on Sustainable Palm Oil. It was attended by the representatives of USAID Sustainable Environmental Governance Across Regions (SEGAR), regional officials, and independent smallholders’ associations in the district.

InfoSAWIT, JENEWA – Dispute resolution department in World Trade Organization (WTO) decided to make panel to evaluate European Union (EU) import duty on palm oil biodiesel produced by Indonesia, Monday (27/11/2023). The decision raised after the consultation in August 2023 did not get agreement between both parties.

InfoSAWIT, JAMBI – According to Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Team of Jambi Province on 1 - 7 December 2023, it is decided that the 10 – 20 year old FFB is getting cheaper Rp 14,03/Kg to be Rp 2.462,84/Kg.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) tender at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) increased to be Rp 11.368/kg, Thursday (30/11/2023). It means it got more expensive Rp 93/kg or about 0,82% compared to Wednesday (29/11/2023) tender that was Rp 11.275/kg.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – European Union (EU) announced European Union Deforestation Regulation that would be available by the late of 2024. The regulation raises protests from Indonesia and Malaysia as the two biggest palm oil producers in the world. The protests were about the concern that new environment regulation would deliver losses for smallholders that highly contribute to their agricultural exports to EU.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – PT Palma Serasih Tbk (PSGO) successfully turned over two palm oil subsidiaries - Agro Bumi Kaltim and Nusantara Agro Sentosa for about US$ 60 million in total to Evans Indonesia and Prima Mitrajaya Mandiri on 23 November 2023. The transaction used exchange according to Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) of Indonesian Bank on 31 October 2023, which was Rp 15.897 per United States dollar (USD).

But palm oil sector still faces many threats, such as, war, climate, and productivity. It means, the panel would automatically be established apart from if European Union would reject it.

InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – Crude palm oil (CPO) price at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange decreased on Wednesday (29/11/2023) because other vegetable oils got cheaper at Dalian Exchange and the increasing ringgit currency.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Jambi Province as one palm oil producer in Indonesia develops fasts. Palm oil plantations in the province laid on about 1,23 million hectares and made it one of ten big palm oil producers in Indonesia. Besides palm oil, the province also produces rubber, coffee, cinnamon, areca nut, and sugarcane.

It was a two day – conference in District of Sambas, West Kalimantan Province and attended by many parties that related to palm oil industries, such as, labors, labors’ unions, local people, indigenous people, environmental groups and activists, feminism groups, and others both from this country and others.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In March 2023, Astra Agro Lestari (AAL) announced that the company assigned consultant group - Eco Nusantara, as the third party to investigate violation assumption about environment and human rights that its subsidiary did. The company has completed term of reference in the investigation.

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – According to Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Team of Plasma and FFB Documents for Plasma Smallholders in Riau Province Number 47 on 29 November - 5 December 2023, it is decided that the 9 year old FFB is increasing Rp 6,65/Kg to be Rp 2.631,36/kg.  

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – According to Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Team of Independent Smallholders and FFB Documents for Independent Smallholders in Riau Province Number 24 on 29 November - 5 December 2O23, it is decided that the 9 year old FFB is increasing Rp 38,02/Kg to be Rp 2.571,94/kg.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) decreased to be Rp 11.350/kg on Tuesday (28/11/2023). It means it got cheaper Rp 15/kg or about 0,13% compared to Monday (27/11/2023) tender that was Rp 11.365/kg.

InfoSAWIT, JAMBI – There is no impossible thing if it is done by synergy. That should be in palm oil sector, which is, synergy among smallholders, government, and companies to get palm oil go forward and smallholders as material suppliers for industries or companies.
