Palm Oil Still Has the Brighter Future

InfoSAWIT, BEKASI – Though crude palm oil (CPO) price is in fluctuation, it does not mean that the business is not good anymore.

Director of PT Unggul Widya Teknologi Lestari (UWTL), Tjokro Putro Wibowo said that palm oil industries still have brighter future.

The government of Indonesia would run the biodiesel mixture to diesel reaching 30% or known as the B30 program. “If it runs well, CPO absorption could increase and it is hoped to increase the CPO price,” he recently said in Bekasi, West Java.

Knowing the prospect, the CPO production of the companies should have higher targets, at least, the same numbers as they were in last year.

He also mentioned that by September 2019 the company produced CPO up to 86 thousand tons and in October to December 2019, the company could produce 34 thousand tons. “It is predicted that by the end of this year, there would be 120 thousand tons of CPO (from the company),” he said.

There we decreasing production about 6 thousand tons compared to it in 2018 which could be about 126 thousand tons. He mentioned that this happened for the extreme weather in some regions in Indonesia. “The long dry season made the fresh fruit bunch production decrease,” Tjokro said. (T2)
