InfoSAWIT, TANJUNG SELOR – Some spots in the high way (trans way) of Kaltara (North Kalimantan), particularly near Tanjung Selor-Tanjung Palas, start to be broken though it has just been constructed. More than 5 spots have been re-constructed. The way that becomes the main access to District of Tana Tidung to District of Malinau is passed by big trucks, namely transporting palm oil seeds in every day.

Chairman of District of Bulungan Legislators, Syarwani, seriously noticed the broken way. He thought, the way is not constructed for the big trucks. If the big trucks pass, of course, the way would be faster to be broken. “They certainly contribute to the broken way,” he said, as quoted from dari tribunkaltim.co.

In the future, the best solution to solve the issue is to make regional regulation about the transportation of the trucks in the public way. Such regulation has been published by East Kalimantan Province.

But he continued, if the regulation has been published, there should be new problems. Such as, there is no scale for the trucks to measure the weight of the trucks. The construction of the scale, he continued, should be a consideration too.

“Though the regulation has been published, but it has no facility, it would be difficult too. So if the scale has been constructed, the weight should be right to pass through the way. This will decrease the damage,” he said. (T3)
