InfoSAWIT, BALIKPAPAN – Plantation sector in Indonesia has given Rp 429 billion to the gross domestic product in this country. The numbers are 15 of 120 kinds of commodity. The plantation industrial development that is managed well and prioritizes conservation principles would create the environmental industries.

Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesian Republic through General Director of Plantation, Ir Bambang, MM., said that the plantation development in this country commits to conserve the environment and could be part of minimizing the threaten ofclimate change globally.

“What Indonesia does is by making collaboration and synergy with related ministries, with the private, and NGO to manage the good plantation, the conservation principles, and environment, to the climate change globally,” he said in his speech in the opening day of GCF 2017 in Novotel Hotel, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, as quoted from tribunkaltim.co.
