InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –The fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production of PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) keeps increasing. The company predicted, in August 2017, it was more than 20% compared to the volume in the early of this year.

Per January 2017, the FFB production of BWPT reached 100.573 tons. It means, the production in August could be about 120.688 tons. Actually, the increasing production has been known since July 2017.

In July, the FFB of BWPT reached 113.906 tons. The numbers were increasing 17% to the previous production reaching 96.838 tons. Compared to July last year, the production reached 82% from the previous period reaching 62.371 tons.

As quoted from kontan.co.id, the increasing FFB production also increases the crude palm oil (CPO) production. By July 2017, the CPO production reached 24.584 tons, or increased about 18% compared to June, that reached 20.892 tons. "Our production gets better after the holidays in July,” the Secretary of the company, Satrija Budi Wibawa said.

Though the production increases, the CPO referential price of the company is decreasing. Per March 2017, it was at about Rp 8.341 per kilogram (kg).  Then in July, it was Rp 7.585 per kg. It means, the CPO referential price decreased about 9%.

Analyst of Bahana Sekuritas,Andrew F. Hotama, predicted, the CPO price would increase in the rest of the year. It would start from India for it has the significant sentiment to increase the CPO price. “The increasing CPO price would be in October for there would be many CPO demands,” he said in his research last weekend.
