InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Deputy in Food and Agriculture Coordination, Coordinator Ministry in Economy, MusdalifahMachmud said, the negative issues come up for the trade competition.

But, the lady who graduated from IPB said, her side is ready to take part to face the issue in national palm oil. “We should not talk only but also prepare the evidences,” she recently said in Jakarta.

The negative accusation in palm oil sector, such as, deforestation should be stopped. So it needs to prepare the concepts of deforestation in Indonesia – just like what and what principle to do. In general if the status of the forest has been changed, the ecosystem in it changes too. “It needs to inform the world about the definition of deforestation in Indonesia,” she said.

To strengthen the denial, in the future, there should be data about deforestation. This is important to do as the base to face the accusations.

The government, she continued, is ready to inform about palm oil as best as it could to the international world. “We have published the sustainable palm oil policy, that is, Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil,” she said. (T2)
