InfoSAWIT,TANJUNG SELOR –The news saying that a head of village resigned for he has no freedom yet, was heard by Regent of Bulungan, Sudjati. As quoted fromTribunkaltim.co, Head of Village of Tanah Kuning, Sainuddin resigned some days before the independence day of Indonesia.
The Head of Village said, his village has no freedom yet. The colonialism by palm oil company really happens in the village. Until now, there is no palm oil plantation company there enlarging plasma areas for the villagers based on the regulation.
The worse is that he had complained this issue to the regional government of Bulungan for about three years ago and there is no response until now. This makes palm oil companies not fulfill their obligation. For this failure, he resigned as the leader in the village.
When confirmed after celebrating the 72nd Independence Day in ‘lapangan Agathis, Tanjung Selor, Thursday (17/8), Regent of Bulungan, Sudjati confessed that there was no official documents about the excuse why the Head of Village resigned. “I never get official documents. But the team has directly checked the situation,” Sudjati said.
Some time ago, Sudjati confessed that he met the Head of Village in a training in Makassar. But they had regular discussion and there was no talking about plasma areas. “We did not discuss it,” Sudjati said.
He also said, the plasma area is the home work of the regional government. There are many palm oil plantation companies not enlarging the plasma based on the regulation, reaching 20% of the total areas of the companies.
He also thought, plasma issue does not happen in Bulungan only, but also other regions. He admitted, in Village of Tanah Kering, it is complecated about plasma, such as, the plasma is enlarged in the conflict areas.
The plantation in Bulungan based on Plantation Business License reaches 271.113,48 hectares. While the enlargement liceses in the first quarter of 2017 reached 128.289,52 hectares. The realization of plantation reached 79.539,34 hectares, consit of main areas reaching 68.384,11 hectares (85,98 percent) and plasma areas reaching 11.155,23 hectares (14,02 percent). (T3)
