InfoSAWIT, SAMPIT–The employees issue in Kotawaringin Timur (Kotim)becomes one focus of Kotim Legislators, especially Commission III. Chairman of Commission III, Kotim Legislators reminded, the private companies should not arbitrarily hire the employees.

“Our program to notice, besides controling function in the Legislators, is the employees in Kotim. The big private companies in palm oil plantation sector hire many employees and we should monitor them. We emphasized, their rights should be prioritized. If it is not, it is just the same with the romusha in the Japanese era,” he said.

He who also becomes the Chairman of ‘Serikat Buruh Seluruh Indonesia (SBSI)’ Kotim also told the issue of employees in PT Agro Bukit to the Legislators some time ago. He emphasized, the Legislators always notices this issue.

“I have called the Executive so that the case has solution. The first thing to do is mediation. If there is no result, the Legislators could interfere the case and call every related sides,” he said. (T3)
